did you pre-register for the 2015 AGM? changes to the immunization course for LPNs

Coming to the AGM June 4th at the Delta Burnaby Hotel and Conference Center? Remember to bring your photo ID to check-in at the registration table. The AGM starts at 3:00 p.m.

BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) has updated the Immunization Competency Course for LPNs. The new course will be open to all interested LPNs on August 4th, 2015.

  1. Use alcohol swabs to cleanse the area, before you proceed with your work.
  2. Write an incident report about the needle stick injury.
  3. Proceed with your work and make an appointment to see your doctor.
  4. Contact the occupational health nurse to be tested for blood-borne pathogens.

WANTED: LPN committee member 383 LPNs have finished the Jurisprudence Pilot Project

Are you an LPN interested in practical nursing education? Do you have knowledge of CLPNBC's Standards of Practice and the ability to apply policies? We are looking for a committed LPN to join the Standards of Education Committee.

LPNs have responded enthusiastically to the Pilot. As of midnight May 31st, 51 have referred an LPN colleague to the Pilot. We have awarded many digital badges -- 13 Gold, 112 Silver and 207 Bronze! You still have four months to participate!
