Quality Assurance Committee Opportunity

The Quality Assurance Committee is looking for a Public member. The Quality Assurance Committee furthers CLPNBC’s mandate to serve and protect the public by establishing and maintaining a continuing competency/quality assurance program to promote high practice standards amongst LPNs.

Knowledge & abilities

Preference may be given to volunteers who demonstrate some of the following:
  • Proficient with computers and able to successfully navigate online platforms
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of CLPNBC’s mandate and the Health Professions Act
  • Experience in another regulated health profession
  • Experience as a Health Authority representative
  • Experience in chairing boards or committees
  • Knowledge of policy development
  • Knowledge of project management and/or development
  • Knowledge of nursing education programs
  • Knowledge of CLPNBC’s Practice Standards and Professional Standards


  • Volunteer position
    • Meal, accommodation, travel and incidental expenses may be reimbursed according to CLPNBC policy
    • Honorariums may be claimed for committee meetings, subject to CLPNBC policy
  • Meetings may be held in person, by telephone or by email with the possibility of an in-person orientation
  • Meetings are generally held on a monthly basis, usually during regular business hours; additional meetings are scheduled as needed. Attendance on a regular basis is expected.
