ONLINE REGISTRATION RENEWAL

2011 online registration renewal is now open, and will remain open throughout the entire renewal period. Most registrants can renew their registration online.

Online renewal is NOT for Initial registrants (see number 4 in the list below).

We strongly urge eligible registrants to help the College save trees by renewing online early, before September 27th. At the beginning of October, a paper renewal form will be mailed to any registrant who has not renewed early.

Please note that a small number of registrants cannot renew online this year (please read carefully). This group includes:

  1. Anyone changing registration category (e.g. from Full to Non-practising or Non-practising to Full).
  2. Registrants whose last name begins with the letter P, Q or R cannot renew online as they are required to submit a new Criminal Records Review consent form with their 2011 renewal form. Paper forms will be mailed to these registrants by September 15th. (see below for more information)
  3. Those using payroll deduction (You must submit all completed form(s) to the College by the deadline of November 15).
  4. Initial registrants who either hold an Interim Licence or have recently passed the CPNRE and are now applying for Full registration for the first time (refer to instructions provided with your exam results).
  5. Anyone changing their name from the one that appears on the Public Registry.

NOTE: Contact the College immediately to submit your name change first. Once the Public Registry is updated, you can renew online.
  6. Those with an outstanding Criminal Records Review Act consent form from previous years.
  7. Anyone with limits or conditions on their licence as a result of Inquiry proceedings.
  8. Anyone with an outstanding balance of account with the College.

If you are ineligible to renew because of one or more of the conditions set out above, you must complete the 2011 paper renewal form(s) and return them to the College prior to the deadline. If you need a form and have not received one by October 30th, then advise the College by email at renew@clpnbc.org and include your LPN registration number and your current mailing address.

Criminal Records Review Consent form requirement
The Criminal Records Review Act, RSBC 1996 c.86 s.15 (CRRA) states it is mandatory that the College ensure all registrants provide a new CRRA consent form to the College every five years. The College cannot process your renewal until we have received the CRRA consent form.

For the 2011 renewal, if the first letter of your last name begins with P, Q or R you are NOT eligible to renew online. Instead you must complete the paper renewal form and an original Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) consent form. If you are in this group, a 2011 renewal form and a CRRA consent form will be mailed to you by September 15th. Return both the original completed forms and your renewal payment by mail or courier to the College office. **The College will pay the $20 fee for the new CRRA consent on your behalf; you do not have to send an additional payment.

If you are eligible to renew, please read the following first:

  • Please note that the College reserves the right to reverse any transaction if the information is incorrect or not complete. The College will not accept any liability nor be responsible for correcting, processing, or accepting applications for renewals that are not correct or not complete. Please carefully check the information you enter.
  • Before you proceed, confirm your registration number either on your 2010 licence or by checking the LPN Public Registry on the College website. You will be asked to enter this number during the renewal process.
  • Some information has to be entered twice. This includes but is not limited to your name, address, and email address. This is because the information is used for different purposes. The College requires information for registration renewal, identity verification, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). Credit card processing requires the same information to validate the payment and to reduce fraud.
  • A valid email address is required to complete the online renewal because a confirmation of receipt of payment will be sent via email.
  • Allow up to 15 business days to receive your new 2011 registration card. If you have not received it within this time frame, contact the College at renew@clpnbc.org.
  • A consent and declaration is included at the end of the renewal form. Please read this section thoroughly prior to entering your payment details.

NOTE: If you complete the online renewal process and the College accepts your payment, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to all instructions, and electronically signed your 2011 renewal form.
